A new TES Magazine article on teacher absence contains several quotes from Worklife Support and case studies from Well-Being schools in Suffolk and Bedfordshire.
11 December 2008 - Second HSE Report on the Well-Being programme
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has published the second report covering the implementation of the Well-Being Programme in Buckinghamshire and Newcastle.
According to participating schools, the early impact of the programme was principally seen in:
- school culture and ethos
- communication
- staff morale
- staff performance
The programme was also found to have had a positive impact on the local authorities involved. The report is available for downloading from the HSE website.

Building on the success of the national Well-Being Programme, we are rolling out a secondary-specific programme designed to address issues including the:
- key role of middle management
- pressure to meet academic and financial targets
- pupil behaviour
- departmental culture, and
- communication challenges in a large school.
